Provider Guidelines
-
Do the Job Fully: Customers expect you to complete the job checklist, work carefully, and leave the area clean.
-
Near.Biz Pays You: Your payment is handled by Near.Biz. Do not ask the customer for extra payment, tips, or side payments.
-
Protect Customer Privacy: Customer information is private. Only use customer information to complete the service order.
-
If Something Happens: Contact Near.Biz right away. We understand service jobs can have unexpected issues, and we are here to help.
Dispatch Rules
-
Set Appointment: After you accept a job, set the appointment time in the app. If the job needs to be rescheduled, set the new time in the app.
-
Set On My Way: When you are heading to the job, tap “On my way” in the app. This tells the customer your ETA.
-
Cancel Order: If you cannot go to the job for any reason, cancel the order in the app as early as possible so Near.Biz can find another provider.
-
Call Customer: If there is a last-minute change, access issue, or timing problem, call the customer through the app when needed.
-
No-Show: A no-show means you accepted a job but did not show up, did not cancel in the app, and did not give Near.Biz enough notice.
-
Card on File: Providers must keep a valid payment method on file for ID verification and approved cost recovery if there is a no-show or very late cancellation.
-
Cost Recovery: If Near.Biz has extra costs because of a no-show or very late cancellation, Near.Biz may charge up to $75 to help cover reassigning the job, helping the customer, or giving the customer a credit.
-
Fair Review: Near.Biz may reduce or remove this charge for emergencies, unsafe conditions, bad weather, customer access problems, or other issues outside your control, as long as you update Near.Biz quickly.
